FEP Tubing and Rod |
| FEP
is fluorpolymer with excellent physical and chemical
properties. It can withstand low cryogenic temperatures,
and has low porosity and low permeation. Chemically
inert at extreme temperatures, Chemfluor®
FEP can operate in temperatures ranging from -454°F
to 400°F.
The
materials transparency and weatherability make it ideal

thermoplastic that offers the stable characteristics

resistance and low permeability. These shapes are stocked
in rigid material but are available in other resins
on a custom basis.

| PCTFE
offers a unique balance of mechanical, chemical and
electrical properties that are not available in any
other material, The versatility of PCTFE allows its
properties to be modified over a wide range, depending
on manufacturing conditions. Because it offers high
comprehensive strength and dimensional stability, PCTFE
is a good structural material. It also is idea for instrumental
and laboratory applications, since it has low permeability
and out gassing. Its cold-flow characteristics are lower
than fluoropolymers, and it won't deform under load
at room temperature. |

PEEK Capillary tubing |
| PEEKT
capillary tubing is designed specifically for the demands
of high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). More
corrosion resistant than stainless steel, PEEKT is strong
enough to take the pressures of 5000PSI. PEEKT has nearly
the heat resistance ad chemical resistance of PTFE but
it is also structurally strong and abrasion resistant.
It does not leach, and it is unaffected by continuous
exposure to steam. |

| Pipe
made from this resin is strong and has very good chemical
resistance. Fittings (not currently available from Saint-Gobain)
can be attached by a variety of methods, including socket
fusion and IF welding.
Copolymer
resin is used to manufacture pipe up to a 6" size. This
gives the material additional impact resistance, making
it less brittle. Larger pipe is made from homopolymer
resin for improved I.D. surface. Flame retardant, UV
stable and static dissipative pipe is available on a
custom basis |
