GRAIN
USAGE NOTES
Very
coarse grain, 16 and 24 grits, can be used for recoating drum
type vegetable peelers. Silicon Carbide is recommended.
Coarse
grits , 16 to 46, are used for anti slip flooring applications
and refractory material manufacture.
Medium
grits 46 to 120 are commonly used for abrasive blasting where
the abrasive is recycled. The more durable Aluminium Oxide
is normally preferred.
Finer
grits, 120 and above are used for fine etch blasting, lapping
operations and coating of polishing mops and wheels.
